The route leads along wide forest paths and is well suited for families. For a break in between, you can take a short detour to hiking trail No. 15 and visit the shelter at Reihersee. Here you will also find stamping point No. 18 of the Ile Leisure Stamp Pass of the Northern Harz Foreland Tourism Association. So it's worth bringing food along. The start and end of the tour are located at a small kiosk in the district of Salzgitter-Gebhardshagen, which offers drinks and snacks. Otherwise, the route mainly runs through shady forest, but there are some longer ascents to overcome.
