Welcome to beautiful South Limburg and especially to the municipality of Echt-Susteren.
The Marissen detour is 5.5 kilometers long and there are also possibilities to shorten this. The route shows the variation in landscape of this special quiet area. Learn about the relief-rich dune landscape that was shaped in the distant past and the hedgerows that have been man-made there since the second half of the 18th century. The route is almost entirely accessible for wheelchair users and strollers.
The route starts in the Leenderstraat in Sint Joost where you can also park.
The route can be followed via the walking junction system. In addition, you can download the route via a special PDF (see under 'Download' under 'Print PDF').
