Groninger Verhalenbanken Route

The uniquely designed mosaic benches along which this route leads were created as part of the East Groningen Story Banks project [2011-2015].
Many residents, young and old, have literally contributed to the story banks.

In the glass mosaic, events from local history are imaginatively depicted by children. The topics were suggested by the village associations and neighborhood platforms. Banks with a story that are also comfortable.

With this project there was a great opportunity to put our region on the map and enrich it with a special tourist route that runs through villages, neighborhoods and rural areas via the unique story banks. LEADER OOST GRONINGEN is one of the parties that has contributed financially to the Story Banks.

There is also a RouteYou bike bank route.
Tourist Transfer Points (TOP's) are indicated along the route. These are specially equipped places where the car can be parked and from where you can ride the route by bike.
