This cycle route takes you along the Via Belgica, the old Romanmain road that ran through South Limburg centuries ago. This road ran through the Romanarea 'Germania Inferior' to connect the Atlantic coast with Cologne. Along the way, you can take a look at various sights to learn about Roman history in South Limburg.

The starting point of this bike tour is at Maastricht, on the edge of the Belgian border to be precise. He then takes you to the eastern where the German border is. Along the way you will pass through Klimmen and Valkenburg. You can take a look at the Kunrader Quarry, Villa de Proosdij, at the Roman Catacombs or take a seat on the Via Belgica seating furniture in the gardens of Château Sint Gerlach.

The route ends in Rimburg, where you will find an old street village, or a vicus. In Rimburg you will find another archaeological find, a tomb of a Roman rich woman.
