A beautiful pilgrimage route between the two southern Limburg pilgrimage sites of Rijckholt (St. Vincentius) and Houthem-St. Gerlach (St. Gerlachus).
Saint Vincentius is mainly honored for his help with human diseases, and Saint Gerlachus for illnesses among livestock.
A return trip mostly using public transportation is possible as follows:
Take the (Arriva) train from Houthem - St. Gerlach station to Maastricht (Centraal).
Transfer here to bus line 57 towards Gulpen.
Get off in Gronsveld at the Vroendalsweg stop, from there it is still a 1.7 km walk to Rijckholt to the starting point.
