Parish Church of All Saints

The parish church of All Saints is a Roman Catholic church in the Innsbruck district of All Saints. It was built between 1963 and 1965 according to the plans of the Tyrolean architect Clemens Holzmeister and consecrated in 1965.
As early as 1375, a Christian sacred building was mentioned in the area of today's parish of All Saints. This was presumably a chapel from the 8th century dedicated to St. Corbinian, about which little is known. The consecration of an All Saints church is mentioned for the first time on April 13, 1375. It was located next to the old country road and was demolished in the 18th century. The construction of workers' housing in western Innsbruck starting in 1935 led to the establishment of an emergency church, which was consecrated to St. George in 1936. Increased population growth after World War II made the construction of a new church necessary. Clemens Holzmeister designed the church to be a castle of God, clearly visible, with a parish center surrounding a central courtyard. On December 12, 1965, the church was consecrated to all saints.
