We did this beautiful ride on 14-04-2023.

It is well indicated on one side with a yellow cross on a white background, follow the number 1. It is 8 km, number 2 is 16 km long and for the most part works with Route 1. Map photo

The walk starts at the sanctuary of Beauraing but as parking is a little difficult we found a nice parking space in the alley of Nondeux, near the castle of Beauraing. From the alley of the Nondeux we first passed under the gate to enjoy the castle and the surroundings. Once at the top, you have a beautiful view of Beauraing. Then, you have to go back through the gate to resume the route along the rue de la Montagne.

The route takes the hiker to a height that offers stunning views of the surroundings and various villages. Simply beautiful! A pure pleasure for those who love panoramas. The road contains a lot of cobblestones, but who's with that?

The loop allows you to go around the village of Wancennes to go down to Beauraing. At Château Saint Pierre the signage is not very clear. Is it now across the park or along the N981. We went along the N981 only to find out later that they also returned to Beauraing through the beautiful park. Although the road is safe, it is best to cross the park.

We linked a visit to the sanctuary of Beauraing to our itinerary. From the Allée des Nondeux, it is easily accessible on foot.
