De Langdonken unites soil types of heather-rich grassland, natural forests, and open marshes here and there overgrown with impenetrable willow thickets. De Langdonken is a story of water and marshes, so boots are indeed necessary during the winter period. The starting point is at the Nature Point barn, Donkstraat 52 (at the end of the dead-end street) or located between hiking junction 351-65. The route can be followed via junctions: Start towards 65 >257>278>395>265>65>230>258>61>62>351>65. The GPS version has a slight modification in the Langdonkenstraat with an extra piece of forest, resulting in 60% unpaved paths (instead of 46%)
