To: Viewpoint Platta above Märjelensee, 3992 Bettmeralp, Valais, Switzerland.
From Fiesch you take the cable car to Fiescheralp. You will conquer more than 1100 vertical meters in 11 minutes. The Fiescheralp cable car station is located at an altitude of 2,214 meters. Here you take - above the tree line and thus with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains - the easily accessible hiking trail towards Märjelensee. After less than an hour you will go through the 900 meter long Tälligrat tunnel to the Gletscherstube. There you walk another 1½ km on a stony path to the final destination Platta, where at an altitude of 2378 meters you have an unforgettable view over the longest glacier in the Alps. You will also enjoy this beautiful route on the same way back.
