Xanten

Xanten () is a town in the district of Düsseldorf, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It has 21,572 inhabitants.

The city can be considered the successor of the Roman city of Colonia Ulpia Traiana, which was inhabited by Roman veterans of the nearby Castra Vetera. This camp of a Roman legion played an important role in the history of Germania Inferior.

the partial reconstruction of the Roman Colonia Ulpia Traiana. Including: the partially rebuilt Hafen Temple (so-called because of its location near the harbor on the Rhine). It is not known to whom the temple was dedicated;

a leisure centre consisting of a swimming pool, two marinas, a water ski installation and other items.
