Three-Monastery-Tour

The route largely runs through the central urban area between Arnsberg and Hüsten on the Ruhrtal cycle path or the nationwide cycle path network running through the Ruhrtal.
The starting point is Neumarkt in Alt-Arnsberg. From here, you ride the Ruhrtal cycle path westwards via Obereimer and Bruchhausen to Hüsten. From there, the route leads uphill via Herdringen (castle park) to Kloster Oelinghausen. From the monastery, you descend along the Baumbach and Herdringen to the DB train station Neheim-Hüsten.
You are then guided on the north side of the Ruhr valley towards Alt-Arnsberg via the Ruhrtal cycle path and the nationwide cycle path network. From there, you continue on the Ruhrtal cycle path in an easterly direction via Uentrop to the 2nd monastery, Kloster Rumbeck. From Rumbeck, you return through the Arnsberg residential areas Stadtbruch and Lüsenberg to the Ruhrtal cycle path and back to Neumarkt with a final visit to the nearby 3rd monastery, Kloster Wedinghausen.
