Very beautiful walk. At the end and beginning, you have a nice view of England in good weather.
You descend via stairs, where you can choose to walk along the beach or on top of the rocks. If you walk along the beach, be careful of the tides. Along the rocks, you have a beautiful view (in good weather) of the chalk cliffs of England. On the other side, you can admire the rolling landscape of France. On the dirt road, you encounter cows, bunkers, ... After walking on the rocks for about 2 kilometers, you will be led to the beach that goes to the village of Wissant.
Wissant is a quiet tourist beach village that has retained its authenticity. You won't see large apartments here. There are places to eat and drink. There are also a number of public toilets.
After this, we leave the coast and the village and go inland via a dead-end street where you pass a small path halfway and the local cemetery. Then, briefly follow the D244 and turn left into the village of Sombre. From there, you follow the path specially for walkers/cyclists to Escalles. Here, the landscape is beautiful. You see the rolling landscape with the sea in the background. Once in Escalles, you take the stairs back up.

At Cap Blanc Nez, there is parking available, but also at the foot of Cap Blanc Nez in the village of Escalles, there is parking available. If you park in the village below, you won’t have to climb the stairs anymore.

A very beautiful walk. Not suitable for strollers due to the rough terrain. Stones, sand, grass, and stairs.
