Make use of the train and walk from station to station with this NS walk. The walk begins at Maastricht station and ends after 13 kilometers in Valkenburg aan de Geul.

You leave the city via the Groene Loper, a green recreational ribbon under which the car traffic of the A2 rushes by. After about an hour, you find yourself in the heart of the Limburg hills. Through forests, fields, an old marl quarry, and the idyllic Geuldal, you walk to Valkenburg aan de Geul. Settle down on a terrace, stroll through the shopping streets, or extend the route with 4 km to Schin op Geul station. Dogs are allowed on a leash.
