Water is of vital importance for humans and animals. Before houses were connected to the water supply network, households depended on freshwater sources for their water. Because they are not everywhere, wells were drilled and public pumps were installed to supply people with water. The Hap en Traproute takes you past the visible wells and pumps. We wish you a pleasant day with lots of cycling fun, tasty interludes and many fun moments at all wells and pumps. The route is more than 60 km long and passes many beautiful places. The large busy roads are avoided as much as possible. That is why it is also a nice route to cycle together with the children. The route starts at Buitengoed De Moosjtum at Catharinastraat 9 in Oost Maarland. If you do not have a bicycle yourself, you can rent an (electric) bicycle here.
