This route is part of the 7 Summits, the seven steepest mountainpeaks in South Limburg. It is a circular walk of 5.5 km with a maximum height of 225 meters.

The Wilhelminaberg is an artificial hill in the municipality of Landgraaf. The hill originated as a stone mountain of the Wilhelmina State Mine and was transformed into a recreation area in the 70s. From the top you can see the Clauscentrale near Roermond, the terrils of Genk in Belgium, the Halden in Germany and the lignite power plant near Würselen. And to the south you have a view of where the mountains continue: the Eifel, the High Fens with the highest point in Belgium and the Vaalserberg. The starting point of the walking route is the parking lot at the Strijthagermolen.
