La iglesia de Rysum está enterrada en la cima de un montículo. ¿Sabía que esta iglesia posee el órgano de iglesia jugable más antiguo del noroeste de Europa, que aún se encuentra en un estado casi original? La iglesia data en parte del siglo XIV. En el siglo XV, se construyó una nueva sala parroquial, para la cual se utilizó en parte el toba de la antigua nave. El campanario de la iglesia fue renovado en 1585 y perdió su aguja en 1686. La iglesia contiene un pulpito de 1801. El órgano de la iglesia data de 1457. Según la crónica de Eggerik Beninga, el órgano fue pagado por los agricultores de Rysum con sus mejores vacas. Probablemente fue transformado en órgano de juegos en 1513.
