Geldenaken - Tienen via GR - 27km

You walk from Jodoigne to Tienen over a combination of some beautiful GR paths. Two cities connected by the Gete River, from Wallonia to Flanders. The landscapes are rural throughout a beautiful rolling agricultural area.
In Jodoigne, you start by following the yellow-red markers of the GR127 towards the northeast. After 13.5km, you pass the castle estate of Hélécine, an ideal spot for a picnic. From here, we leave the GR127 and switch to the GR128 which we will follow northward. Soon you cross the language border through Goetsenhoven and Rommersom. Be careful as we then switch for the last kilometers to the GR Hageland towards the center of Tienen. Dining options are available in the city park or at the Grote Markt.
The hike is only challenging due to its length.
Buses run from Tienen and Leuven to Jodoigne. Tienen is accessible by train via an IC station.
