Between Dijle and Zenne, 75 km

This demanding bike tour follows rivers, canals, railways, and even airports.

From Hofstade:

You pass by the Leuven-Dijle Canal (or Leuvense Vaart), just outside the Bloso Center Hofstade in the direction of Boortmeerbeek. From Hever, you follow the meandering Dijle until just before Haacht. After that, the railway line Leuven - Mechelen comes next, then it bends off to return to the Leuvense Vaart in Tildonk.

On the gravel path and through the retention basin, you turn left to cross through the fields over Winksele to reach the HST bike route between Leuven and Brussels.

In Nossegem, the bike tour crosses the approach path of airplanes to Zaventem. In Machelen, the route switches to the Brabantse Koutersroute, then it ends at the Bloso Center Hofstade via the focal community of Vilvoorde along the Zenne and the Willebroekse Vaart.

From Vilvoorde:

You begin the bike tour at Steenkaai in Vilvoorde. The route leads you out of the city. Over the Zenne and the Willebroekse Vaart, you then ride through the municipalities of Grimbergen, Zemst, and even briefly through Mechelen to arrive at the Bloso Center Hofstade. From there, you follow the description above.
