From the cozy bustle around the Donkmeer to the expansive tranquility of the Kalkense Meersen, and then a splash in the swimming pond of Provinciaal Domein Nieuwdonk. How much variation can you have in one day?

You cycle in the Scheldeland between Dendermonde and Wetteren, along old meanders around the Donkmeer in Berlare. From the ferry in Appels to Wetteren, you follow kilometers of the towpath of the Schelde. Enjoy the passing boats and the beautiful tidal nature.

The wet hay meadows of the Kalkense Meersen area are valuable nature. You would get hungry and thirsty there, and even that can only work to your advantage along this versatile route.
