Join us on a cultural discovery tour! Our cultural route starts at the millstone of the Zweidorf Windmill and goes straight through the Peine region. You cycle along the Mittelland Canal to the forest adventure trail in the Zweidorf forest. At the Meerdorf cabaret stage "teatr dach", you will be offered sophisticated entertainment in an old half-timbered house. In Peine, you can expect a whole spectrum of culture: A highlight is the painting in the St. Jakobi Church. A series of stumbling blocks reminds of the Jewish victims of the Nazi regime in the city center. The historic marketplace and its nice cafes invite you to linger. The oldest stones (from around the 13th century) line the Burgpark in Peine. From prehistory to today, the exhibits in the district museum tell the story. On your way to Eickenrode, you pass former manor houses, charming half-timbered houses, and large farms. Our tip is to make a stop at Malerhof-Voigtholz, the former workplace of the painter Hans Nowak.
