2023: On this ride, you have an impressive view over the Montbrun - Reilhanette valley to the Toulourenc valley, with a perfect view of Mont Ventoux! The road from Montbrun to Barret-de-Lioure (9km at 4.9%) takes you through one of the most beautiful landscapes. Here you can test your climbing legs towards "Col de Macuègne" and Barret-de-Lioure. This old high village is definitely worth a visit. Go, via a small path, to "Le Calvaire," where you have a beautiful lookout over the Anary valley with meadows and lavender fields. From "Col de Macuègne" and "Col de l'Homme Mort" to Ferrassières, with a view of the Albion Plateau and the lavender fields. Along the "Hippodrome du Deffends" back to Sault. The Hippodrome was established in 1904 and has retained 2 specific features. It is the only racetrack in France whose infield is occupied by a lavender field between the Luberon to the south and the Ventoux to the north. It is the highest field in the country, at 810m. On the long grass course, at 850m, the racetrack only organizes 1 horse meeting per year on the second Sunday of August.
