Larochette combination L3-L2

We did this lovely local walk on 28/02/2022.

It is indicated only on one page. Actually, the intention was to do the L3 ride (see photo marker), but after our picnic in the park at the beautiful Château de Meysembourg , we decided to change direction to follow the L2 marker . It certainly wasn't a bad decision. Where otherwise we would have continued on paved roads, we have now driven on relatively wide and winding forest roads through the beautiful quiet forests.

"This town, with its original character, is located in a small valley in a wooded area. Two ancient castles (12th century), partially restored, dominate this valley of the Ernz Blanc. Medieval square and historical monuments. Old alleys.

Walks with beautiful views through woods and fields, including that of the "Manzenbach" linking Larochette to Meysembourg (castle), as well as that of the "Nommerlayen" with the remains of a Roman camp (Aalburg). Hike on the "Mullerthal Trail". A regional hiking map is available.

The Manoir de Roebé has been completely restored (17th-18th centuries) and converted into a town hall. Tourist and commercial center. ULM airport and hot air balloon flights. »
