The fourth stage of the Caminho Nascente takes you through a gently undulating landscape. Because the route constantly goes up and down, significant elevation gain is required.
A few kilometers outside Beja, the road becomes unpaved for 6-7 km, but is reasonably passable. Halfway, Vidigueira offers a welcome stop. It is one of the important wine centers in the Alentejo. After that, the route gradually climbs to the highest point of the day before leading towards Evora through some smaller towns. The last kilometers run alongside the busy N18, unfortunately unavoidable.
Evora is touristic but not without reason. It is one of the highlights on the Caminho Nascente.
