This gravel route starts at Vorstermansplein in Heusden and consists of 51% of unpaved roads. Most of the unpaved roads are gravel paths, but there is a segment that consists of forest paths (near Mierlo), and there is a (compact) sandy path in the route (Rederijklaan, east of Geldrop). Due to the various surfaces (fine gravel, coarse gravel (Landgoed Gulbergen), forest path, and sandy path), you will need wide gravel tires (36 mm is recommended).

Via Behelp, you cycle to the Zuid-Willemsvaart and follow the canal along gravel paths. You cross the canal to reach the Strabrechtse Heide (the entrance at Huize Witven). Then there are 9 km of gravel paths across the heath until the edge of Geldrop. You briefly pass through Geldrop (the Coevering district) and then ride along a paved bike path through a forest area to Rederijklaan. Afterwards, you bypass Geldrop via Rederijklaan. Unfortunately, it’s a sandy path (1.2 km), but I left it in the route to avoid Geldrop as much as possible; the sand is quite compact and thus still (fairly) accessible.

After that, you ride briefly along the north side of the Eindhovens Canal (asphalt bike path), then switch to the south bank (gravel bike path). You then pass through Mierlo, but not for long. You cycle along forest paths west of the center of Mierlo, to return to the Strabrechtse Heide. You then have 4 km of gravel bike path to the hamlet of Moorsel. Across Lierop, you cross to the Zuid-Willemsvaart, following the gravel path along the eastern bank. The last three and a half kilometers lead back to Heusden on asphalt, but you can of course choose to follow the last part of the route along the canal (gravel path) and bike back to Heusden via Behelp.
