Scotney Castle is één van die prachtige kastelen annex tuinen van de National Trust in Kent. Je wandelt door het uitgestrekte kasteelpark, door het woud van Kildown, dwars door het golfdomein van Lamberhurst, langs een hoppeveld en -hoeve, en door de lieflijke vallei van de Teise. Vaak via "right of way" paadjes dwars door het veld of weides. In de voortuin van Scotney Castle kan je genieten van afternoon tea met scones, en het kasteel bezoeken als je wilt.

Scotney Castle in Kent is one of those wonderful National Trust castles with gardens. You walk through the vast castle park, Kildown Wood, the Lamberhurst golf course, along a hop field and farm, and through the lovely Teise valley. Often by "right of way" paths across the fields and meadows. In the front yard of Scotney Castle you can enjoy afternoon tea with scones, and visit the castle if you want. A delightful walk as you can only experience in England!
