Castle domain Borgwal

Borgwal Castle is a water castle with an 18th-century core, adapted in the mid-19th century, standing in the middle of a large pond with brick walls, part of the sleek 18th-century landscaping. The castle domain has a number of appurtenances including the monumental entrance gate, the state square and neerhof laid out in front of the castle with characteristic arrangement in U-shape and where the various utilities of the castle were grouped. On the neerhof there is also a monumental square pigeon tower, rebuilt in the 19th century to a 17th-century predecessor. The domain has a brick fence wall with built-in chapel.
