This Meetjesland Café Route takes you to the Provincial Domain ‘Het Leen’ and via the canal, you will discover the lovely marina that also includes a sculpture route. From the self-harvest farm ‘De Moeiakker’ you get a unique view of the church of Eeklo, one of the tallest in Flanders. With the 16th-century town hall and the 'rootjen' with nice eateries, this square makes for the cozy Market of Eeklo. De Ramblas is named so because the café owner and many others dream of a kind of Ramblas for Meetjesland. The square is certainly pleasant, but making the busy N9 a little less car-friendly a bit further on remains a dream that Eeklo cherishes.
