In 2013, the tourist television program "Vlaanderen Vakantieland" went in search of the most beautiful walk in Flanders. This walk along the Kempen lakes was one of the nominees. Discover the region around Mol and enjoy a trip along the Kempen canals. The region is also known as the 'Kempense Lake District' and that name is no exaggeration. After digging the canals in the nineteenth century, the area turned into an appenblanket of large pools of water. Some lakes became recreational areas, others evolved into beautiful nature reserves. Enjoy this walking route on land, at sea and in the air.
