Gravel ride Bachten de Kupe

Ride along some gravel roads or well-paved routes between Nieuwpoort - Diksmuide and Oostende. After the off-road section of the Vaartdijk-Noord, you ride on the front dike towards Diksmuide. Once at the IJzertoren, you ride back a bit north along the Dodengang and a nice gravel path to cross the IJzer in Tervate. There, you head south again along a beautiful gravel section towards Diksmuide, riding along the Handzamedijk and Boterdijk towards Vladslo. You still have some nice gravel sections on Oude Heiestraat and Bafferstraat, followed by a quiet unpaved stretch along the Wildernisdreef and Pottebezemdreef. You ride through Koekelare to head towards Groene 62. This cycling route, which also consists partly of gravel, follows you past the Vaart to join the mountain bike trail from Oostende at the Sluiskreek. Once back at the coast, you can roll back to the starting point (unless you have a headwind :)). A ride that is well suited for 40% gravel. Suggestions are always welcome!
