On the way to the beautiful forested areas of the Mollenbos in Bierbeek, followed by a passage through the Meerdaalwoud just south of Leuven.
Then a hilly stretch through wide fields to where the river Voer provides the numerous ponds of the Tervuren park with the necessary water.
Take a moment to pause at the stately Africa Museum, an initiative by Belgium's second king Leopold II, beautifully situated in the middle of the Tervuren park.
Afterward, a stunning route along an ancient beech avenue through the Sonian Forest to Jezus-Eik, the furthest point of the bike ride.
Then the certainly not flat return journey over Huldenberg with its very steep slope, the Smeysberg (17%), and then over a hilly course through Walloon Brabant to Grez-Doiceau.
And finally back over Hamme-Mille and Beauvechain to the starting point Tienen, with over 100 km recorded on the counter.
