Walking Route - Most Beautiful

At the lake, at the end of the little beach, do not take the path "passage toléré par le propriétaire" to the left, but go a bit further past the small waterfall onto a narrow and very steep path at the beginning. In Assenois, on Rue des Bruyères, take the left path marked "passage allowed with the owner's permission" at the edge of the forest. In the woods before you reach the railway, you will come across a fence erected due to swine fever. However, you can still get through via gates here. After the railway, you pass by two sites where blast furnaces used to be (Forges Hautes et Basses de Mellier).

This route can easily be adjusted with the Neufchâteau station as the starting point.
