The Christ-King statue in Lens, Switzerland, is a monumental statue marking the 1900th anniversary of Christ's death, which was inaugurated on September 22, 1935, and was attended by more than 4000 people from all over Valais.
Located at the top of the Châtelard hill, it overlooks the Rhone plain. It is the culmination of the work of Canon Pierre Gard and cost 42,000 francs. This statue features a chapel built under its base, where the 13 coats of arms of the Valais districts and the saints: Saint Peter in Chains, Saint Bernard of Mont-Joux, Saint Maurice of Agaune, and Saint Théodule are painted.
