The Aprather Mill in Wülfrath, district of Mettmann, was a ban mill. The building is listed as a monument. It is registered under number 17 in the list of historic buildings of Wülfrath.
The mill, which belonged to the Aprath Castle, was declared a ban mill by Duke William III of Berg in 1504. The farmers had to have their grain ground here and were thus "banned." According to another source, it was mentioned for the first time in 1581.
