Description

The hike starts in Reinsdorf. The Protestant church of the village is a former monastery church of a Benedictine monastery, it contains relics of a three-aisled basilica with transept and choir.
Below vineyards, through fields and orchards, you will discover one of the well-known vineyards of the region - the Karsdorf Hohe Gräte.
On the mountain ridge was one of the protective castles of the Unstrut valley. The still visible remains of the ramparts above the vineyard were the inspiration for the naming of this historical vineyard site, as they are outlined like the bones of a fish against the horizon.
On the Steigarer Plateau you have a front-row view - not only of the impressive ICE route.
