Majorca: Muro and Campanet 65km

Quiet route through the agricultural region in the north. The approach along the coastal road is flat. The road is quite busy, but safe. From Port de Pollença to Alcudia you cycle RIGHT on the 'shoulder' of the coastal road and not on the bike path. Beautiful country road 'Cami de Son Morei' to Muro.
Muro offers pleasant terraces around the church. Then a long descent and a quiet country road past chapel of Sant Vincenç and on to Buger and Campanet. Both Buger and Campanet are on top of a hill.
Beyond Campanet a kilometer of moderate asphalt to the Coves (Caves). With 14 euros per man, too expensive for our taste. Follow the country road through the quiet valley with here and there gaudy country estates. In the end you pass the finca of Peter Maffei (Yes the German Singer that became world famous with 'Du'), who has now become an organic farmer in Majorca. Can you blame him?
