Banyoles is the departure point for two big climbs that take you up to amazing vantage points, with the bonus of being able to enjoy the lake for a refreshing dip when you get back from the ride. A perfect combination for cyclists: wonderful flat stretches for fast riding and two tough climbs. If one mountain pass is enough for you, you can always end the route when you get back to Banyoles the first time, skipping the second climb.
