AzureWelcome to beautiful South Limburg and especially to the municipality of Eijsden-Margraten. We would like to introduce you to a historical procession route. We go to Gronsveld, where a fixed traditional route was followed before 1800, which has been applicable for centuries.
Although today in Gronsveld there is talk of the 'Groete Broonk' once every four years, the route was much longer at the time. Because besides Gronsveld with its mill and Rijckholt, Eckelrade is also visited. Meuse valley and plateau are on the route, connected by the idyllic Savelsbos.
The route starts at Gronsvelder Kerkplein where you can easily park and where there are plenty of restaurants nearby for a nice cup of coffee.
The route can be followed via the special Bronk shields.
