Meadows and meadow birds are the features here. Wander along the old Eemdijk (Meentdijk, further ahead Sommersdijk) between the sheep along the remaining Kolk locations and across the meadow bird area. Shortcuts are possible along the way.
On the left and right is an extensive treeless grassland. This is the most bird-rich part of Eemland. From March to June, there is bustling activity of meadow birds everywhere here. At the Eemmeerküste, there is a birdwatching hut where waterfowl can particularly be seen.
