Praça da Reública - Viana do Castelo

Praça da Reública is the heart of the city.

The fountain dominates the square and around it some of the city's most important buildings: the Old Town Hall , the Town Hall with its Gothic arches, the Misericórdia Hospital and the church of the same name.

This beautiful junction of seven narrow alleys is located in the heart of the old town's mansions and monuments zone. In this square you can feel the pulse of the city, here are the oldest businesses: shops, bookshops, haberdashers, who display their products in beautiful exhibitions and of course the popular café terraces, what better place to spend the afternoon in the company of the pigeons.
