This house was designed by an architect friend, John O’Gorman, in 1930. It was the first building in Mexico along the lines of the founder of modern architecture, Le Corbusier. While the blue building on the right was occupied by Frida Kahlo (only during some periods, because she liked the Casa Azul in Coyoacán more), Diego Rivera did work intensively in the building on the left, producing about 4000 easel paintings until his death in 1957. You can visit the studio which houses a small museum of personal items, pictures, painting materials and folk art. The museum organizes temporary exhibitions.
