Sehr schöne Aussicht auf das Ven unter dem Berg. Dies ist eines der wertvollsten Venen in Flandern, obwohl kaum noch offenes Wasser sichtbar ist. Es ist nahezu vollständig mit einem schwimmenden Moospolster bedeckt, auf dem besondere Pflanzen wie das einarige Wollgras, die Moosbeere, der Rundblättrige Sonnentau, das Drahtschwaden und die weiße Schnabelbinse wachsen. Dies ist ein sehr besonderer Ort, denn es ist der einzige Fundort in Belgien von Moos-Segge.
Im Frühjahr sieht man hier unglaublich viele Kraniche fliegen.
In der Randzone des Vens findet man Wasser-Läusekraut, Pitrus, Wassererdbeere und Moor-Herzgespann. Das Ven beherbergt einen Reichtum an Libellen und Amphibien wie den Moosfrosch.
Angesichts der Verletzlichkeit dieser Vegetationen wird dringend davon abgeraten, das Ven zu betreten.
