Does the Wall of Geraardsbergen still need a description? :-). The Wall of Geraardsbergen is a slope and street on the Oudenberg in the Belgian city of Geraardsbergen. The Wall, also known as the Wall-Kapelmuur, was a term for the penultimate slope in the cycling competition the Tour of Flanders from 1973 until 2011. The Wall is a cobblestone road on the Oudenberg, the hill against which the city center of Geraardsbergen is located. In 1940, the Oudenberg was protected as a landscape, and in 1995, the famous cobblestone road was declared a monument.
