A former Cistercian abbey of which the imposing Gothic barn with the name Ter Doest Abbey still remains. You will also find part of the abbey farm with the breathtaking dovecote and monumental entrance gate. Did you know that the abbey was united with the Abbey of Our Lady of the Dunes in Koksijde in 1624? You can admire the abbey ruins in the abbey museum.
The abbey farm of Ter Doest from the 17th century houses the restaurant Hof Ter Doest. You can eat well but also stay and enjoy a rural wellness.
