The source of the mineral water has been known since time immemorial as the Source du Bois Notre-Dame or Source des Dames.
Alexandre Matton organized the commercial exploitation of the natural mineral water spring of Arville, owned by the Count of Liedekerke from 1911.
In 1920, a grenadine syrup, "Boum", was created. In 1926, “ Arville grenadine ” and “ Arville lemon ” were created. At the end of the Second World War it was taken over by the “Impérial” brewery. “Arvilor” an orangeade , “Ma pomme” (referring to the song by Maurice Chevalier), “Peppermint” complete the offer.
The commercial slogan was " To stay young and subtle, drink Arville water " (Po d'mêrer djonne è subtil, bêvoz d'êwe d'Arville).
The 'Arville Mineral Sources' company was taken over by a brewery group in the 1960s and subsequently lost its traditional local product. In 1971 the company 'Arville Mineral Sources' closed its doors
