Leuven-Haspengouw

Beautiful, gently curved training course along quiet, rural roads; few elevation meters, but many false flat sections.
Start: Leuven, Tiensepoort, immediately after the train station turn right into Hoegaardsestraat, with a long cobbled section, through the fields to Lindeboom in Bierbeek, Neervelp, Willebringen, Meldert, detour via Hoegaarden with a long cobbled climb, crossing the language border in La Bruyère, difficult false flat section past the air force base Bevekom, Sart-Mélin and Lathuy (two picturesque villages with stone houses), Dongelberg, Incourt, challenging cobbled climb to Roux-Miroir, Longueville, Grez-Doiceau, Archennes, Florival, ascent to Ottenburg, detour in Terlanen via a very steep cobbled climb Moskesstraat, St.Agatha-Rode, St.Joris-Weert, Oud-Heverlee (optional: right after the train station, climb to Don Bosco), Heverlee, and back to Leuven via Kardinaal Mercierlaan.
