A walk along the slow network of paths that leads through the northern valley of the Durme, through the small paths of the villa district, the Sombeek meadows, around the dyke of the Sigma plan (floodplain), and along the estate of Sombeke Castle (circa 1700). Park and start at Sombekedries at the Sint Rochus Church. The first path is to the right of the church directly at the corner to Veldstraat. One can avoid a section of the hunting path on the route by taking the unpaved path to the left at the bench, about 7.5 km, but this is only allowed outside the breeding season (according to information, the breeding season should be from March 15 to June 30, but in heath and wetland areas, the rest should be respected until the end of August). Those wanting to hike the famous Mirabridge must take the path about 50 meters to the right shortly after the banquet hall De Koolputten (after 9.5 km on the route).
