Lübbecke

Lübbecke Kernstadt is an area of Lübbecke in the district of Minden-Lübbecke in East Westphalia, Germany.
The core town of Lübbecke, which is therefore a little misleading as a term, essentially comprises the area of the old town of Lübbecke before the municipal reform in 1973 and also includes larger forest and agricultural areas. Only small parts formerly belonging to Lübbecke, which lie north of the Mittelland Canal, were separated from Lübbecke in the course of the territorial reform and incorporated into the town of Espelkamp. In the south, on the other hand, the core town was able to record a significant territorial gain: As a result of the restructuring, uninhabited forest areas, the so-called Reineberger Hagen, with the site of the former Reineburg with an area of 0.99 km², came to the city of Lübbecke, which had previously belonged to the southern municipality of Ahlsen-Reineberg and reached as far as the Obere Tilkenbreite. Since then, the mountain ridge has formed the southern border with the municipality of Hüllhorst, or the Hüllhorst district of Ahlsen-Reineberg.
