The Evangelical Church of Ueberau is a Gothic church in Ueberau, a district of Reinheim in the district of Darmstadt-Dieburg, in the front Odenwald.
A church in Ueberau is mentioned for the first time in a document on November 23, 1316, making it one of the oldest churches in the region. In the document, Werner, Lord of Lißberg, sells this estate, which was lent to Werner of Reinheim, and properties to Knight Hartmann of Düdelsheim. The estate and the church were likely closely associated, as another document from 1399 refers to the "estate on which the church stands." The estate itself was likely located where the primary school and the former town hall of Ueberau stand today, the church on a mound behind it, and it was surrounded by a supporting wall, parts of which can still be seen on the west side today.
