The Lamberti Church, usually St. Lamberti, was one of the oldest places of worship in the city of Lüneburg. Between 1860 and 1861 it was demolished due to structural damage.
The Lamberti Church was a three-nave church in the Gothic architectural style, in which Protestant services were held since the middle of the 16th century. It is estimated to date back to the 13th or 14th century. This is based on records of the consecration of the sacristy in 1382 and the construction of the tower in 1398. In addition, excavations by the city archaeologist Edgar Ring and his team from the end of the 1990s to the year 2000 found grave goods, bones and ceramics, which support a dating of the start of construction around the year 1300.
