Bielefeld's Hermansroute and Hunnenburg and Zoo

The Hermannsweg offers beautiful views. It is no coincidence that this hiking trail is considered one of the most beautiful high-altitude trails in Germany.

The Hermannshöhen are among the top hiking trails in Germany, as both the Hermannsweg and the Eggeweg have been awarded the "Quality Trail Hiking in Germany" certificate by the German Hiking Association. This is part of the HERMANSWEG run that I participated in on July 27, 2013, and processed better on April 8, 2020 (due to significant interest), so that others can experience a completely different hiking world up close!!!

Via Route 2, we make a detour to the Hermansweg. From afar, you can see the tall mast on the communication tower at Hünenburg, and from there, continue back along the Hermannsweg, which runs right through the Olderdissen animal park and where there is plenty of activity. It is something special; an animal park that you can walk through for free. Whether an animal park is still feasible in 2020 is, of course, subject to question.
